Good Pics From This Week :)

These are just a few pics taken this past week that I absolutely love.

Passed out on NeNe's lap during church.

The shirt says it all. :)

I was supposed to be cleaning the house at this time, but how could I resist some cuddle time with this little fella?

Ripken freshly groomed, looking all sweet and spiffy.

I had a need for chocolate... if you can't tell from the bite already missing, it satisfied the need.

My bebe eating blackberries. I don't know what I was thinking giving him those when he was wearing white p.j.'s! But, I would have missed this adorable picture! I love love love this sweet boy! <3

I was taking a huge risk by taking this picture tonight. I just had to share this sweetness with everyone. He sleeps with is little giraffe (affectionately called Lubby) holding on to the arm or tail. I love it!

Just sittin'

I know I should be up doing things around the house but, instead I'm laying here with my bebe as he slumbers. It truly is the sweetest thing. I went through a very ruff pregnancy and thought at the time "This is it! I'm done." and everyone said that once I have him I'll forget all about the yuck. Well... I haven't forgotten. But, it WAS sooooooooo worth it! And I can't imagine my life without this precious gift. In summation... I think Cole Parker needs a sissy. ;)

So, It's Been A While

I know I've been really slack on posting lately. I could say that I've been crazy busy and worn out by the end of the day but, let's face it I think it just comes down to being lazy. Sorry about that. So, the cloth diaper experiment has been... I'd say a success. My order came in and I began using them right away. I only ordered two different kinds though, G-diaper's G-pant and a Thirsties duo-wrap. I've been using the old school pre-fold diapers as inserts. I also bought two kissaluv's diapers which I love but, they are expensive (about $12 each) and being that I am currently unemployed I will have to get one once in a while. Just yesterday I received flushable diaper liners. which I can say are tremendously helpful when your little one has a lot going on in there! Hopefully I'll be able to stock up on more covers soon.

My house is a mess. I was planning to run a couple errands today and get back asap to clean up. Well, things didn't go quite as planned. I was out to return something to the store, it became nursing time for little man. So, as I sat in the ladies bathroom nursing Cole~Man I was on my phone checking Facebook. I saw that little Scarlett was at NeNe's house (which is on the way home). I thought it would be a good little play date for her and CP.

Oh my gosh, they were too cute together! Of course Cole Parker was pretty much just taking everything in. Miss Scarlett was a hoot! She was rippin' around, digging through our diaper bag pulling everything out of it and showing her new treasures to everyone in the room. They were so cute sitting on the rocking chair together. Scarlett would put her arm around her buddy and give him sweet baby kisses.

I can't wait to see them up together running around. Cole is getting very close to crawling I'm getting really excited about it. :)

And ohhh- a tooth! It's not quite through the gum but it is very close! Although I am looking forward to seeing a big smile with one little white tooth (who doesn't love a toothy baby grin?) but, I must admit I can't help but to get scared of the thought of that little tooth chomping down on me while I'm nursing him! I guess we'll have to see how it goes. ;)

Cloth Diapering? Me?

So, whilst I was prego I would go into baby stores and people would ask me "Will you be cloth diapering"? I would politely say no but, in my mind I was yelling "NO WAY"! I would register for items with my mom and she would suggest that I put a few cloth diapers on my list because "you never know" and I did so to appease her. You see, I was the type who said I would never bring the baby into the bed with the hubby and myself. I wasn't going to hold "spoil" him by giving in to his every whim. When someone wanted to hold him I was going to be happy to let them do so. And I certainly was NOT going to mess with some messy cloth diapers!

However, once I held that little guy everything changed. I brought him to our bed when things got ruff... sometimes it's all you can do to catch some zzzz's. ;) I have "spoiled" him by holding him pretty much all the time. He's just too cute! I have to cuddle. Although now he is more independent. Now that he is rolling around on the floor (he's gonna be crawling any day now I can see it in the way he's been pulling his legs up. Yay!) he is beginning to get diaper rash on the insides of his legs. I have decided to pull the trigger and make an attempt at cloth diapering.

I have been researching for the past three days! Reading, pricing, watching YouTube... there is so much to take in! So many brands, types, styles. I finally ordered some supplies on Amazon and I am going tomorrow to get a couple more things. I am really hopeful. It actually seems to be quite easy. I will let you guys know how it works out.

Have a great week!

New Years Day!

Happy New Year Everyone! I have the best son in the world; he let me sleep until 9:00am! Thankfully my sister Kelsey was here to help me through the day. I was able to get a good bit accomplished. I gave Mr. Ripken a bath and might I say he is the cutest little polar bear ever! I also received a dutch oven from my aunt for Christmas so, I decided to break it out and make a pot roast with carrots and potatoes. Considering the first few years of my marriage we ate either take out, mac n cheese or hot pockets... this was a monumental advancement in my culinary skills. It was quite yummy if I do say so myself. All together successful day!

Ripkey lookin' all cute.

Yummy.
